Official opening ceremony of the newly constructed bicycle lane between Vilok and Tisabekeny villages, the program implemented within the “Integrated network of bicycle touring routes along the Ukrainian-Hungarian border HUSKROUA/1001/012″ project.The event will take place prior to the opening of the Xth Vinohradiv Vine Festival called “Ugochanska loza” and as part of the Family Day celebration.
The opening ceremony is jointly organized by the Ukrainian-Hungarian Regional Development Centre, Roads Service in Transcarpathian Region, Josa Andras Museum (Hungary) and the Self-government of Beregsurany (Hungary).

The bicycle lane was constructed in the frame of the project titled “Integrated network of bicycle touring routes along the Ukrainian-Hungarian border” (HUSKROUA/1001/012) and co-financed by European Union through ENPI CBC Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013 Program.
On 26-28 April 2013 an international bicycle tour to Hungary is organized by the Ukrainian-Hungarian Regional Development Centre in cooperation with the Beregovo Tourist Information Centre.
The tour is organized as part of the project titled “Integrated network of bicycle touring routes along the Ukrainian-Hungarian border” (HUSKROUA/1001/012), which is co-financed by the ENPI CBC Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013 Program. The route is 275 km long and passes through Beregovo, Sárospatak, Tokaj, Nyíregyháza, Máriapócs, and back to Beregovo. Continue reading

On 22 March a round table meeting titled “The actual problems and perspectives of cross-border tourism development in the Ukrainian-Hungarian border region” was held in a session hall of Transcarpathian Regional Council.
The discussion was attended by the representatives of local authorities, local businesses, NGOs, tourist associations and individual experts on tourism development both from Ukraine and Hungary. Among the guests were Andriy Serbaylo, Deputy Chair of Transcarpathian Regional Council; Oskar Shestak, Chair of Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg Regional Council (Hungary); Istvan Toth, Consul of Hungary to Beregovo; Oleksandr Marchenko, Deputy Head of the Main Department on European Integration, Foreign Economic Relations and Tourism of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, and many others.
