bigbord-beregfest-small-429 September 2013 the 50th anniversary of an annual cross-border festival “Bereg Fest” will be celebrated in Beregovo (Ukraine).

“Bereg Fest” is the oldest festival in Transcarpathia, the main idea is to revive and support local traditions of the region. Costume parades, traditional wine making performances, sport competitions, concerts with traditional music and dances, exhibitions and fairs, tasting of home-made wine and traditional dishes, master classes and many other exciting events make this festival a real holiday for local people and guests of the region. Cross-border bicycle tour

kerekparosOn 22 June 2013 Ukrainian-Hungarian Regional Development Centre is organizing a cross-border bicycle tour, in the frame of which a recently built bicycle lane from Asztely to Beregsurany and a bicycle parking station in Beregsurany will be officially opened.

The tour is organized as part of an “Integrated network of bicycle touring routes along the Ukrainian-Hungarian border” project (HUSKROUA/1001/012), which is co-financed by the ENPI CBC Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013 Program.

This 90 km long tour will pass through Beregovo – Tisabekeny – Vilok – Tiszabecs – Kölcse – Szatmarcseke – Tarpa – Beregsurany – Asztely and back to Beregovo. Continue reading
